betteroffsaid: suggestions to begin?

Hello,

I am not sure if anyone uses this forum anymore, but I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I have recently purchased a student steno and the materials for the Phoenix Theory, however at the moment I feel quite overwhelmed with how to begin learning. Can anyone offer any strategies to begin learning at home? Any stages/phases/methods?

If anyone could I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Sincerely,

Laura

Hey.
Yes, this community is dead, or else going through an extremely prolonged process of extinction ;)
I taught myself Phoenix. I think I wrote a post here years ago in 'memories'? Have a look. There's also plenty more on my own lj. I'll write more later...on the way to work...

Thank you so much, I will look further into the site.
And yes, anything you could offer in ways of reccomendations on how to start would be really helpful.

FWIW, I would ditch Phoenix and use StenoMaster or Magnum Steno. Then go to SimplySteno.com. Good luck!
